Cygnet Aviation, in partnership with CAE and Porter Airlines, offers a streamlined cadet program for aspiring pilots with no prior flight experience. This 22-month journey includes integrated iATPL training and Dash 8-400 type rating—preparing you for a First Officer role with Porter. 

Program Overview 

• Integrated Airline Transport Pilot License (iATPL) 
• Dash 8-400 type rating delivered by CAE 
• Mentorship from active Porter pilots 
• Training locations: Kingston (Cygnet) and Toronto (CAE) 

Eligibility 

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident 
• Post-secondary degree or diploma 
• No prior flight experience required 
• Category 1 Medical Certificate 

Training Timeline 

• 18 months at Cygnet Aviation Academy 
• 3 months Dash 8-400 type rating at CAE Toronto
